Stream Road Worship

Timings, Finding Us & Parking

Worship starts at 10:00 or 10:30am on a Sunday morning and at 6:00pm in the evening.  You're welcome to join us, so please come along and say hello!  There are many ways to get to us but most people choose to walk or travel by car.  If you're using Sat-Nav the postcode is DY6 9NP.  Our car park is located behind the church and parking is permitted on the main road at the front of the building.  There's access into church from Stream Road as well as from the car park where there is also a stepless, ramped entrance on Compton Drive.  Overflow parking is available on the gravel at the top of the road leading to New Bradley Hall.  Please don't park in Compton Drive itself.

Each week the Vale of Stour Circuit posts online a Sunday service at 6:30pm.  If you're not able to join us, either in person nor online, then please remember that we offer worship resources here as well as those available on the Circuit website

A Warm Welcome

Churches come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, so it can be hard to know what to expect, which can make turning up for the first time a little daunting.  When you come to Stream Road we want you to feel welcome and relaxed, so we thought you might appreciate a little explanation of what a typical Sunday might look like...

The Services

Sunday morning services usually last about sixty minutes and will most likely include fifteen minutes of singing hymns and songs.  Every 2nd & 4th Sunday morning, we begin at 10:00am when our worship group, "Into the Light" lead an extra half hour of praise; playing modern songs.  All lyrics are projected onto two huge TV screens; along with carefully crafted videos, presentations and important notices telling of future events.  All services will have a reading from the Bible, prayers and a short talk.  We have recently completed a full refurbishment of the Worship Area and now offer individual seats, carpeted flooring and a dedicated children's area.  We meet for a short time after morning worship sharing refreshments and fellowship in the Hall.  Sunday evening fellowship begins at 6:00pm where we are exploring a variety of more informal worship styles as well as offering the more traditional type of Methodist service.  Please check the table below for full details.
